Chess has always been a cross-cultural, cross-generational activity, one where it doesn't matter even if the two players speak the same language as the "language" of the game are the rules which are standardized around the world.
In the same spirit, The Sunrise Center for Excellence in Chess and the National Scholastic Chess Foundation have adopted our formal non-discrimination policy: our programs are always open to all people, without regard to race, color, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability or national origin.
